KiK donates half a billion HUF to help refugees from Ukraine

KiK Textile and Non-food Ltd. has offered 60,000 donation cards each worth 8,000 HUF to refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine. The cards will be distributed to the needy by the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta. This donation, worth nearly half a billion HUF, is the largest single corporate donation since the outbreak of the war, allowing people in need to buy clothing or other products in any KiK store in Hungary. The donation card, with a value of eight thousand HUF, can be requested from the Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta at adomanykartya.maltai.hu on behalf of the Ukrainian refugees by any organisation, municipality, company or even private individuals assisting those affected.

Humanitarian activities nationwide

The Hungarian Charity Service of the Order of Malta continues to assist Ukrainian refugees on a national level, including at hotspots in Beregsurány, Budapest, Debrecen, Miskolc and Győr, where it receives and assists families according to their needs – providing temporary accommodation, organising transportation, etc. In addition to the relief hotspots, the Hungarian Maltese association has an extensive logistics network with warehouses and donation collection points across the country.
